A 21-year-old man is in serious condition after a shooting early Sunday morning in a parking lot on Southwest Langston Drive.

According to police, the man is not cooperating with the investigation.

Officers responded to the scene in the 200 block of South Langston drive at approximately 2 a.m. Sunday morning. They found the 21-year-old victim slumped over some bushes with a gunshot wound in his abdomen.

The victim’s 17-year-old girlfriend initially told officers that two unknown black males approached the victim;s car and attempted to sell them marijuana. When the victim declined, one of the suspects allegedly opened fire on the car and then fled.

The girlfriend would not provide any other details. When police contacted the victim, he was unable to provide any information about the incident. He has since told detectives he does not want to cooperate with the investigation.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center and is currently listed in serious condition.
