Sophomore receives honorable mention in contest

Timothy Jenkins’ work will be on display at the Holocaust Center throughout the year.

Timothy Jenkins, Renton resident and sophomore at Kent Mountain View Academy, received an honorable in the Holocaust Center for Humanity’s 2017 Writing, Art & Film Contest.

Jenkins submitted a piece called “Who was I?” According to a media release, his piece was written in the perspective of a Polish Jew during the Holocaust.

On July 16, he will be honored at a community reception and his work will be on display at the Holocaust Center throughout the year.
