Multicultural festival scheduled for September 22 and 23

The city of Renton, in partnership with the Mayor’s Inclusion Task Force and several local community groups and organizations, will present the second annual Renton Multicultural Festival on Sept. 22 and 23. The festival will feature local artists, music, dance, food and activities.

Opening night Friday, Sept. 22, will feature “Performances through Art”at the Carco Theatre from 7 to 10 p.m.

On Saturday, Sept. 23, Renton comes alive with music, dance, art, food and stories from all over the world. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in games and activities and other multicultural experiences. Saturday’s events will start at 3 p.m. and run through 7 p.m. at both the Renton Pavilion Event Center and adjacent Piazza Park in downtown Renton.
