Twelve members of the Rainier Youth Choirs were accepted to sing as part of an Honor Choir at the NW American Choral Directors Association conference held in Portland, Oregon from March 7-10, 2018.

Ten of the members were chosen from the Intermediate Honor Choir for grades fifth through seventh.

Those selected were: Alaina Barnhart (Rainier Middle School), Autumn Chociej (Terminal Park Elementary), Olivia Duskin (All Saints Catholic, Puyallup), Astrid Forsythe (Grass Lake Elementary), Carter Hickok (Meeker Middle School), Olivia Johnson (Meeker Middle School), Bernice McKee (WA Connections Academy), Ryan Monsen (Ilalko Elementary), Eleanor Robinett (Meridian Middle School) and Stina Rude (Maple View Middle School).

The other two students were selected from a blind audition to be part of the junior high/middle school honor choir. Those two students are Macy Hirota (Meridian Middle School) and Michael Graham (Cedar Heights Middle School).
