Dear kind Renton-area donors:
On behalf of The Salvation Army Renton Corps I wish to extend our deepest gratitude for your most generous donations of your time and energy, food, warm clothing, toys and cash. I am so grateful to Hasbro toys for their very generous donations of toys, games and books. I also wish to thank LA Fitness for allowing us use of their vacated space at no cost. Because of all these immense kindnesses we were able to provide Christmas meals and gifts to more than 1,000 Renton-area families!
As the economy continues to struggle, our neighbors are experiencing lingering need and financial pressure. Homelessness is escalating. Those with homes are suffering high utility costs. Joblessness stubbornly remains high and employment outlooks remain unpromising. Cuts are being made to human services at government levels. We expect to be depended on to serve even more needy families and individuals than ever this coming year. Your donations enable us to further stretch our budget to meet this community’s needs as they increase.
Thank you so much for sharing your blessings with your neighbors. Your generosities not only brought joy to another’s Christmas, but also hope to a new year for our community.
Blessings,
Captain Terry Masango
