Photos by Haley Ausbun Semilla Flamenca in Redmond had their spring recital Friday, April 26 at the Carco Theatre in Renton. Nearly 60 flamenco dancers, from 2 year olds to adults, were able to show off their skills in ten performances, concluding with a group dance of the Macarena. All proceeds for the recital went to a 6-year-old dancer who has been fighting leukemia for three years and is now in remission with monthly check-ups, flamenco teacher Paulina Chalita-White said.
