Valley Medical Center has been recognized by the Puget Sound Business Journal as one of “Washington’s Best Workplaces” for 2010.
Valley Medical, listed as a top 10 company in the “Extra Large” category (500 or more local employees), was selected from the nearly 200 nominations submitted on behalf of companies with Washington offices.
This follows on the heels of being named one of “Washington’s 100 Best Companies to Work For” by Seattle Business, and Modern Healthcare’s national “Top Ten Best Places to Work in Healthcare.”
“Employee satisfaction is something we take very seriously and put many resources behind at VMC,” says Rich Roodman, CEO. “We understand that happy employees are a big contributor to patient satisfaction and each time we receive recognition as a best place to work, it reinforces our commitment.”
To find the best employers, PSBJ asked readers to nominate their own or other companies. Employees of the nearly 200 nominated companies answered surveys conducted by Quantum Workplaces, a recognized leader in workplace research.
The questions ranged from “I would like to be working at this organization one year from now,” to “The leaders of this organization demonstrate integrity.”
