The Renton Chamber of Commerce will host a Nonprofit Workshop 1 p.m.-4 p.m. May 15 at Harambee Church, 316 S. Third St., in downtown Renton.
The three-hour workshop is aimed at providing the tools nonprofits need to navigate through the difficult economy. Included is a hands-on marketing session, a panel of local nonprofit professionals and an opportunity to share materials and do some critical networking with fellow nonprofit leaders.
This is a good opportunity for nonprofit board members to learn about nonprofit management techniques.
The workshop is free; register online at www.GoRenton.com.
Kevin Hoult, director for Renton’s Small Business Development office, will lead a hands-on, working session on marketing. Panelists include Ed Belleba, president and CEO of Friends of Youth and Curtis Brown, president of Mission Movers.
