Damien Pattenaude, who currently serves as the assistant superintendent of learning and teaching for the district, will take over interim Superintendent Dr. Art Jarvis's position July 1, 2017.

Renton African-American Pastors group, along with Renton Police Department and the city are bringing their efforts to city streets Oct. 12 with a "Unity March."
