Boys basketball: Renton stays undefeated in Seamount, Hazen wins in overtime

Renton 59, Evergreen 55

Nathan Guys’s double-double led Renton to a 59-55 win against Evergreen Friday.

Guy led Renton (6-1 overall, 5-0 Seamount) with 16 points. Guy also collected 10 rebounds, five steals and four assists. Achoki Moikobu scored 12 points and Joseph Holifield scored 10 for the Indians.

Foster 88, Lindbergh 65

Lindbergh’s defense couldn’t stop Fosters attack and the Eagles fell 88-65 Friday.

Dallas Searles had another strong game for Lindbergh (1-7, 1-4) with a team-leading 19 points. Searles is averaging 16.9 points per game this season. Demarr Ferguson scored 16. Willie Creear scored nine points.

Hazen 56, Highline 50

Hazen used a big third quarter and overtime to beat Highline 56-50 Friday.

The Highlanders (2-7, 2-3) outscored Highlien 17-6 in the third quarter. Caleb Frary led Hazen with 15 points. Chris Garton scored 11. R.J. Magar scored nine points.
