Kennedy

When: Wednesday at 12:00 p.m.

Who: Hanford Falcons

Where: Tacoma Dome

Thoughts:

The Lancers have been mentioned as the top 3A girls team in Washington since December. They’ve won by an average of over 30 points a game this year.

Hanford (Richland) has experience playing very good teams like Shadle Park in this season, but a win against the Lancers would register as a big upset.

Kennedy survived a scare when senior Daidra Brown was injured March 6 against Prarie. Brown is Kennedy’s leading scorer (15.6 points per game) and she is expected to play in the state tournament.

Foster

When: Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.

Who: Bellevue Wolverines

Where: Tacoma Dome

Thoughts:

The Bulldogs face a tough test in Bellevue. The two teams shared a common opponent this season: Renton. Foster played the Indians three times, losing twice and winning once. All three games were very close. Bellevue beat Renton 58-57 in early December.

Bellevue is one of the favorites to win state, but Foster is no slouch. With the athleticism of Travis Miller and the hot shooting of Refugio Soto-Lopez, this game should be an exciting one.
