Fire department run dive drills

This was a three-day class that involved a significant amount of time in both the Hazen Pool and Lake Washington.

Renton Fire, Seattle Fire and Valley Regional Fire Authority sent Firefighters that successfully passed the Rescue Diver evaluation to their initial certification class “Dive Rescue One” to become qualified as a Rescue Diver.

This was a three-day class that involved a significant amount of time in both the Hazen Pool and Lake Washington.  Once the divers complete the class they will still have over a years’ worth of training prior to becoming certified to work on an actual call as a Rescue Diver.

The divers were trained in different search methods, black water diving, extricating from entaglent, scene preservation, victim removal and rescue just to name a few.
