LEONARD (TOM) LEATHLEY

Leonard (Tom) Leathley passed away January 9, 2017 in comfort and peace with his family around him. He was the husband of Peggy (Healey) Leathley for 30 years.

Tom is survived by his sisters Carol Hackman of Renton and Diane Graham of Kettle Falls, his children Diana Otonicar of Kent, Phyllis Strausser of Auburn (husband Walter), Myra Ingley of Olympia (husband Kevin), Felicia Leathley of Auburn, step-father of Kenneth Kurtz of Aberdeen, SD, grandfather of Michael Dalton (wife Hailey), Jacqueline Bojanowski (husband John), Deena Ingley, and Brian Ingley. He was great grandfather to Brysen & Tristan Dalton, Julian & Jade Bojanowski, and Noah Long. He was predeceased by his parents Leonard T. Leathley and Phyllis M (Monaghan) Leathley, brother Jerry Leathley, sister Adrienne Glace, and granddaughter Natasha Harrison.

Born in Renton, Washington February 1, 1936, Tom attended St. Anthony schools, was an Alter Boy, joined the Navy National Guard at 17 and then as active duty for a total of 10 years. He served a portion of his time on the USS Whitehurst Destroyer. Tom met Peggy and married in 1986 and the family grew. Tom lived all his life in Renton until he moved to Auburn in 2015. He loved sports, travel, and his family.
