Duane Richard Boltz

Duane Richard Boltz, 83, passed away September 12, 2016. He was born January 26, 1933 in Cairo, Nebraska to Henry and Dora Boltz, and grew up in Grand Island, NE.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents and 8 siblings, daughter Pamela Farmer, and granddaughter Sarah. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 64 years, Barbara Boltz, son Micheal Boltz of Glendale, AZ, Paula Charboneau of Renton, WA, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Duane was a proud Marine, fought in the Korean War, and was a local Iron worker for 37 years.

Duane loved to get out on the open road and since retirement had lived in many different towns; Madison, AL, Sun City, AZ, and Renton and Olympia, WA, with Olympia being his main home for the last 36 years.

Duane truly never met a stranger, was loved by all who knew him. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa and great grandfather. His booming laugh, infectious smile, hearty sense of humor, and teddy bear spirit will be missed.

Graveside service with military honors 11am Friday, October 7, 2016 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, followed by a celebration of life at the Renton Eagles, 220 Wells Ave S.
