The Rotary Club of Renton has selected its Teachers of the Month for January

Kelly Kosir is a kindergarten teacher at Talbot Hill Elementary School.

Kosir attended Seattle Pacific University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology along with a teaching certificate. She is currently enrolled at Lesley University, working toward a master’s in curriculum and instruction integrated teaching through the arts. Before becoming a teacher, Kosir worked with the Bellevue Boys and Girls Club teaching art to children of all ages. She continues to work at the club during summer break. Kosir has been a teacher in Renton for three years.

Nina Williams is a physical education teacher at Bryn Mawr Elementary.

Williams attended Seattle University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies. Williams also earned a master’s in teaching from City University. Before her teaching career began, Williams worked in the hospitality and tourism industry for 14 years and also worked in retail for several years. This is Williams’ fifth year teaching in Renton.

Suzanne Satterlee is a secondary general education teacher at Sartori Education Center.

Satterlee attended the University of Montana in Missoula, where she earned a bachelor’s of arts in English with a minor in mathematics. Satterlee also received a master’s degree in business with emphasis in accounting from the University of Puget Sound. Satterlee spent several years working in the accounting field before joining the Renton School District. This is Satterlee’s 20th year teaching in the Renton.

Renton Rotary Club recognizes Teachers of the Month at a luncheon held at the Maplewood Golf Course. Each teacher receives money to be used for classroom supplies, or instructional materials.
