The Relay for Life of Renton took place June 22 and 23, raising $42,793.27 with more than 250 participants who came out to fight cancer in our community.

Thirty-two teams, many of which were made up of local businesses, organization and school groups participated in the Relay this year.

Relay for Life would also like to thank Mayor of Tukwila Allan Ekberg and Renton Councilmember Ruth Perez for coming out to speak at the opening ceremony.

We thank everyone who came out to help fight cancer in our community, and we look forward to Relaying with everyone again next year, it said in a press release from Relay for Life of Renton.
