Tasveer South Asian Film Festival comes to Renton

The 12th annual Tasveer South Asian Film Festival runs from today, Friday, Oct. 6 until Sunday, Oct. 15 throughout Seattle including Renton.
The following films will be shown throughout the day:
• Maple, 47 minutes from Canada
• Our Time, 10 minutes from the US
• From The Land of Gandhi, 49 minutes from India
• Himalayan Refugee, 28 minutes from Nepal
• Code-Switched, 15 minutes from the US
• Five o’Clock Shadow, seven minutes from the US
• Ladies and Gentlewoman, 46 minutes from India
• Naked Wheels, 30 minutes from India
• Is It Too Much To Ask?, 30 minutes from India
• The Eldest Son, 30 minutes from Nepal
• Cotton Fields from the Ivory Tower, 17 minutes from Pakistan
• Sambalpuri Weavers, 20 minutes from India
• Saawan, 138 minutes from Pakistan
On Sunday, Oct. 15 at Carco more showings will begin at 11:30 a.m.
Those films include:
• The Joyous Farmer, 15 minutes from Sri Lanka
• The Shame, 20 minutes from Nepal
• Sisak, 15 minutes from India
• Ghraan, 30 minutes from Bangladesh
• Chhora, 25 minutes from Nepal
• Sahaski Chori (Brave Girl), 20 minutes from Nepal
• Dobara Phir Se, 126 minutes from Pakistan
• COLA, 13 minutes from India
• Yeh Ballet, 15 minutes from India
The festival wraps up with a closing awards and reception scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 16.
