Stabbing ruled a homicide; charging deadline is Wednesday

The deadline is Wednesday to charge a 16-year-old Seattle youth in the stabbing death of a 22-year-old man Saturday at a Renton apartment complex.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office Tuesday ruled the death of Jordan Allan Cruz a homicide. He died of multiple stab wounds at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The stabbing occurred at about 1 a.m. in the 200 block of Southwest Fifth Place.
According to police, the victim and his brothers reportedly confronted the 16-year-old, who minutes earlier tried to enter a parked car belonging to one of the brothers.
The victim was stabbed during a fight with the 16-year-old.
The 16-year-old and a companion were arrested at the scene and the apparent murder weapon recovered.
