Jacobson was recognized for decades of service to the Renton community, including as a School Board member, a hospital district commissioner, a Renton Rotarian, a Chamber of Commerce board member, among many others.
Speaking on a video, Rich Roodman, Valley Medical Center’s CEO, recognized Jacobson for his leadership in health care, which he said is Jacobson’s legacy.
“I hope I was able to help in a few places,” Jacobson said to a standing ovation at the Renton Pavilion Event Center.
The dinner was catered by Rain City Catering.
