Hazen falls to Highline, takes third at Liberty invite | Wrestling

The Hazen wrestling team lost to Highline Jan. 5 and finished third at the Liberty Invitational Wrestling Tournament Saturday.

Against Highline, the Highlanders lost 47-24. Jayden Schwope (106 pounds), Derek Nichols (113), Austin Clark (132), Daniel Karpman (138) and Jonathan Pineda (145) all won their matches.

At the Liberty invite, Schwope, Clark, Karpman and Hector Esquivel (195) all made the finals and took second.
