The Liberty softball team beat up Mercer Island 14-2 Tuesday.

The Patriots (5-3 overall, 4-2 KingCo 3A/2A) fell behind 2-0 after the first inning, but exploded for 11 runs in the bottom of the second. Liberty scored a run in each of the final three innings of the game.

Marissa Jeffers went 2-3 with three RBI. Jenn Rucker went 2-4 with an RBI. Taylor Weik went 3-4 with an RBI.
