Liberty shuts out Bellevue; Travis Johnson pushes Hazen past Lindbergh; Renton falls | Baseball

Liberty 6, Bellevue 0

Liberty won its fifth-straight game Friday, easily sweeping past Bellevue 6-0.

The Patriots (12-3 overall, 12-1 KingCo 3A/2A) have just one league loss with five KingCo games left.

Liberty took the lead with one run in the bottom of the second. The Patriots added a run in the third and scored four times in the sixth.

Connor Sjolander pitched 6.1 innings and earned the win. Nick Hart went 1-2 with a double and an RBI. Peter Wiggum went 1-2 with an RBI. Ian Davies went 2-2 with a home run and four RBI’s.

Liberty plays at Mount Si today at 4:30 p.m. The Wildcats are the only league team to beat the Patriots this season.

Hazen 13, Lindbergh 4

Hazen’s late offense was enough to push past Lindbergh 13-4 Friday.

The Highlanders (10-4, 8-3 Seamount) and Eagles (6-6, 5-6) were tied 4-4 after four innings. Hazen then took the lead with a fifth-inning home run by Travis Johnson. Johnson finished the game going 4-5 with three runs, and five RBI’s.

Brenden Campbell went 3-5 with two runs and three RBI’s. John Wall and Jimmy Schmidt each scored three runs.

Nick Sharp earned the win with 3.1 innings in relief. He allowed three hits and one walk.

Cameron Callen went 2-4 for Lindbergh. Ryan White went 2-2. Lawrence Collado went 1-3 with two RBI’s.

Kennedy Catholic 20, Renton 2

Renton scored first, but Kennedy Catholic scored more. The Lancers beat the Indians 20-2 in a five-inning game Friday.

The Indians (1-11, 1-11) scored bot of their runs in the top of the first.
