Renton beats Highline; Hazen, Lindbergh and Liberty lose | Girls basketball

Renton used a big third quarter to pull away from Highline and won 53-45 Tuesday.
The Indians (12-6 overall, 10-5 league) went on an 18-9 run in the third quarter to build on a five-point lead.
Kelsey Sparks led the team with 22 points. Addyson Stowers scored 15.
Renton is currently the third Seamount seed into subdistricts and concludes the regular season Thursday against Foster.
Foster 55, Hazen 44
Hazen took a big hit to its playoff hopes with a 55-44 loss to Foster Tuesday.
The Highlanders (8-12, 7-9) need Foster to lose to Renton Thursday to force a tie for the final Seamount playoff spot. Otherwise, Hazen’s season is over.
Michelle Wnek led the team Tuesday with 15 points, Christy Argyle scored 11.
Tyee 43, Lindbergh 35
Lindbergh fell to Tyee 43-35 Tuesday.
The Eagles (1-14, 1-14) have one game left on the season.
Ashley Hilde led Lindbergh with 16 points. Emily Graver scored 15.
Mercer Island 53, Liberty 37
Liberty fell behind early and lost to 53-37 to Mercer Island Tuesday.
The Patriots (7-12, 4-7 KingCo 3A/2A) are currently the fifth seed in the KingCo playoffs.
Mercer Island started the game on an 18-4 run. Maddie Birdsall and Danni Sjolander led Liberty with seven points each.
