Piazza elects officers, expands market schedule

Piazza Renton, the downtown committee that oversees all events in downtown Renton, has elected its 2010 officers.

They are Linda Middlebrooks, president; Suzanne Thompson, vice president; Susan Bressler, vice president of membership; Brian Larson, treasurer, and Sonja Kyes, secretary.

The group also announced the schedule for major events:

• Saturday, April 17, Spring Festival—Piazza plaza
• Sunday, July 11, Return to Renton Car Show—downtown Renton

  Saturday, Oct. 9, Fall Harvest Festival in conjunction with the Renton Chamber of Commerce Business Expo

• Thursday, Nov. 11, 10th Annual Dinner Auction, Spirit of Washington Events Center
• Saturday, Dec. 4, Holiday Tree Lighting, Piazza plaza

In addition, the group announced the Farmer’s Market Schedule this year has expanded. The market will be open from June 1-Sept. 28.
