Liberty girls track finishes 11th at state, Kelsey Werre nets three top-four finishes

The Liberty girls track team placed 11th at the 3A state meet. The Patriots scored 21.25 points.

Senior Kelsey Werre placed fourth in the 200-meter finals, with a time of 25.52 seconds. She placed 11th in the 100-meter preliminaries.

Madison Birdsall placed 15th in the preliminaries of the 400 meter.

Liberty’s 4X200 relay team placed fourth. Alli Agnew, Haile Erickson, Birdsall and Werre ran for the team.

Agnew, Erickson, Birdsall and Werre also made up Liberty 4X400 relay which placed second in the finals, just over a second behind the winner.

Krista Lockhart finished sixth in the pole vault, clearing a height of nine feet, six inches.

Hannah Robins tied for eighth in the pole vault, clearing nine feet.
