Soccer: Two goals by Israel Padilla help Hazen top Lindbergh; Renton falls to Kennedy

Hazen 3, Lindbergh 1

Hazen topped Lindbergh 3-1 Monday evening.

The Highlanders (2-2 overall, 2-2 league) took the lead with just two minutes left in the first half when Chris Howe scored on an assist by Miguel Reyna.

Lindbergh’s (0-5, 0-5) Dustin Stevens scored an unassisted goal nine minutes into the second half to tie score 1-1.

Hazen’s Israel Padilla scored two late goals on assists by Antonio Miller to give the Highlanders the win.


Kennedy 7, Renton 0

Kennedy proved to be too much for for Renton and beat the Indians 7-0 Monday evening.

The Lancers scored four times in the first half. Dawit Kelete scored three goals. Thomas Morrell and Jon Martz combined for the shutout.
