Renton police investigates overnight shooting, asks for public assistance

The victim was found in his car at a McDonalds parking lot calling for help.

Renton police responded to a 911 call after witnesses reported they heard a man in a car at the parking lot of a McDonalds calling for help on July 7.

According to a RPD press release, the man in the car said he had been shot. Responding officers found he was bleeding heavily from gunshot wounds to his arm and leg.

The victim was a 33-year-old Lynnwood man and said he had been shot a few blocks away by a man in dark clothing who jumped onto his car and shot him through the windshield. The crime occurred at the 400 block of Burnett Avenue South.

No arrests have been made so far. Police are continuing their investigation and have asked public assistance for any information regarding this case. If you have any information, call 425-430-7500 (reference no. 17-8406).
