A 25-year-old West Hill man was pistol whipped and assaulted by four men Oct. 15 who were attempting to rob him or steal his vehicle.

He had just picked up a prescription for his mother on South Grady Way. In an attempt to get away, he hit the gas pedal, with one of the attackers in the front seat. He knows the man.

His vehicle came to rest on top of a fire hydrant. He was punched and pistol whipped and his attackers fled in a gold Chevrolet Impala with the prescription and $300 in cash.

The victim had a cell phone he told officers belonged to one of the men. He was treated at Valley Medical Center.

TEEN SHOT IN HEAD: Renton Police officers found four 9 mm shell casings but no one shot when investigating the sounds of gunfire at about 4:30 p.m. Oct. 12 near the 200 block of Rainier Avenue South.

Witnesses told officers they heard the shots and one even tried to ask a couple near where the shots occurred whether they were OK. The two didn’t respond to him.

But about an hour later, officers responded to a shooting victim at Valley Medical Center. He was walking along Hayes Place Southwest near Rainier, when he heard gunshots and saw a new Toyota speed past him.

A little later, the 17-year-old felt dizzy, fell down and discovered he had a bullet wound to the back of his head.

A passerby took him to the hospital, but he didn’t want to press charges and just wanted to go home.

SECURITY OFFICER PUSHED WITH CART: Using a shopping cart, a man trying to steal baby and toddler clothing from the Walmart on Rainier Avenue South Oct. 13 pushed a loss-prevention officer in front of him to the store’s entry way.

He took some of the merchandise, while the security officer tried to grab him and radioed for help. He then shoved or threw her to the floor, then fled from the store, leaving behind more clothing. He was last seen getting on a bus.

The officer didn’t require medical attention.

STABBED BY BOYFRIEND: A 47-year-old Marysville woman was brought to the Valley Medical Center emergency room Oct. 5 by the man she told officers stabbed her.

The 51-year-old suspect from Everett, who is the victim’s ex-boyfriend, also apparently stabbed a friend with the victim who was in a car with her in Everett. The friend escaped but the suspect locked the victim inside and drove her to the hospital, where she was treated.

The suspect walked to the lobby before going to the parking lot. He was recognized there by responding officers who had spoken with a security officer. He was detained and officers found several bloody rags on the vehicle’s floor.

Everett Police officers took custody of him.
