BURGLARY

  • On March 13 officers responded to reports of a residential burglary. The police report stated that when the reporting party got home from school they noticed the front door had been kicked in.
  • On March 15 it was reported to officers that an unknown subject had kicked in the back door of a home and stole items from inside.
  • On March 16 it was reported that a resident of the Fairwood Landing apartments was seen stealing batteries from golf carts.
  • On March 17 officers responded to reports of a residential burglary. The police report stated that the unknown suspects used a PVC pipe to break a window above the kitchen sink to gain entry to the home.

ROBBERY

  • On March 15 an attempted robbery was reported in the Fairwood Safeway parking lot. The police report stated that a firearm may have been present during the attempt.
  • On March 19 officers were called to the AM/PM in Fairwood regarding a robbery with a handgun.

TRESPASS

  • On March 13 it was reported that a male subject had entered an unlocked, unoccupied home and changed the locks. The police report stated he gained entry through a broken door.
  • On March 19 officers responded to reports that the victim’s ex-husband was sleeping on the porch of her apartment. The police report stated that he was also yelling profanities. He was trespassed from the apartment.

VIOLATION OF COURT ORDERS

  • On March 13 it was reported to officers that the reporting party was being threatened via text and voicemail. The report stated that this was in violation of a court order.

AUTO THEFT

  • On March 14 officers responded to the Carriages at Fairwood Downs apartment complex to reports that the reporting party’s vehicle had been stolen.
  • On March 17 it was reported that a vehicle was stolen from in front of the victim’s residence.

OPERATOR’S LICENSE VIOLATION

  • On March 14 officers arrested a male subject who was driving with a suspended license. The police report stated that he also did not have his required ignition interlock in place.

STOLEN LICENSE PLATES

  • On March 15 officers were contacted by the victim who said the license plates from his vehicle had been taken.

OBSTRUCTING AN OFFICER

  • On March 14 while officers were patrolling, they observed a vehicle that had two different license plates. During a check of the vehicle, officers noticed the dashboard VIN number had been tampored with. The police report stated that an occupant was providing false statements and also had a misdemeanor warrant.

NARCOTICS ACTIVITY

  • On March 15 officers noted that for the past six months, they had noticed a strong marijuana smell when patrolling though the Belmondo Reach Park area on state Route 169. The report stated the smell is stronger at night but cannot be pinpointed to a specific location.

LARCENY

  • On March 13 officers responded to reports of found property in the reporting party’s yard. When officers arrived, the homeowner told them she saw three bags sitting in her front yard. The police report stated the items appeared to have been stolen from a vehicle.
  • On March 15 it was reported that the victim left his vehicle parked in the L.A. Fitness and McDonald’s parking lot in Fairwood for 15 minutes and when he returned he found one of his windows had been broken. The police report stated that a bag was taken from inside but nothing valuable was inside the bag. The report stated that at the same time of this incident, officers also responded to another victim who reported thather vehicle’s window was also broken while parked in that parking lot.
  • On March 16 officers were contacted regarding the theft of a string trimmer from a landscape company.

VEHICLE RECOVERY

  • On March 14 Renton police officers found an abandoned vehicle parked on the side of the road. According to the police report, there were no leads or evidence regarding how it got there.

THREATS

  • On March 15 it was reported to officers that a bar patron had called the Red Dog Saloon and made threats to kill the bartender and the owner.

VANDALISM

  • On March 16 officers responded to a report of vandalism. When officers contacted the victim, he showed them that the back window of his vehicle had been smashed.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES

  • On March 16 it was reported to officers that the reporting party claimed they heard a child crying from inside the back of a garbage truck. The police report did not state whether this was ture or not.
  • On March 19 officers were contacted regarding a suspicious vehicle that was parked idling in driveways.

CIVIL PROBLEM

  • On March 16 officers responded to reports of an argument regarding items inside a garage because it was unclear who the owner of the items is. The police report stated the garage is shared between two neighbors.
