Pumpkin Painting & Potluck

Painting a pumpkin is not only a great way to kick off the fall season and Halloween, but also a family-friendly, mess-free activity. “Tales That Go Bump In The Night,” with Storyteller Anne Rutherford

Attend to hear the family-friendly, spine-tingling tales of ghosts and goblins and things that go bump in the night. You’ll get out in time to go to the Olde-Fashioned Halloween Faire in Downtown Renton.

Join in on a family-friendly event that includes free cider, popcorn, caramel apples,face painting, carnival games, prizes and a doggy costume contest.

Creating a Cosplay Costume

While you’re at Renton Comic Con, stop by the library for a free workshop on how to create your own cosplay costume. This class is for ages 12 to 22, and is perfect if you need a last-minute Halloween costume tutorial.

Zombie Fest

While you’re at Renton Comic Con, stop by the library for some zombie fun! Meet the author of the awesome zombie graphic novel, “Junior Braves,” Greg Smith. He’ll share the secrets to creating a graphic novel. There will also be hands-on zombie crafts and games with lots of cool prizes and free books. This event is for kids in grades 4 through twelve.

Trunk or Treat

After-school Movie: “Goosebumps”
