Ultimate Frisbee’s West Coast Cup tournament comes to Renton this weekend

The event is scheduled to run from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Renton Memorial Stadium, 406 Logan Ave. N.

Fans of Ultimate Frisbee can catch some of the west coast’s best players in Renton this weekend as teams converge on Renton Memorial Stadium for the West Coast Cup.

Teams from as near as Seattle and as far as Japan will take the field Saturday and Sunday.

The event is scheduled to run from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Renton Memorial Stadium, 406 Logan Ave. N.

The cost for a one-day pass is $10 for adults, $7 for high school students with ID and $5 for youth. Two-day passes are available for $15, $10 and $7.

Every attendee gets an automatic entry into the halftime raffle with a minimum of $200 worth of prizes at every halftime ($1200 total). Raffle includes items from Patagonia, Friction Gloves, Discraft and NexGen. Each days tickets are perpetual so show up early for the best chance to win.

Teams competing are:

Revolver, from San Francisco;

Sockeye, from Seattle;

Rhino, from Portland;

Johnny Bravo, from Denver; and

Buzz Bullets, from Japan.
