The first day of the Seamount League meet was Wednesday. The events will conclude Friday.

Preliminary winners

Hazen’s Peter VanNuland won the 800-meter dash. Renton’s Evan Curry won the 300-meter hurdles.

Renton’s Amadi Bentley won the 100-meter hurdles.

Finals winners

Renton’s Joseph Watson won the discus. Hazen’s Tyler Blakley won the javelin. Renton’s Joseph Powell won the high jump. Hazen’s Kyle Martin won the pole vault. Lindbergh’s Trevor Thompson won the 1,600.

Renton’s Taylor Williams won the long jump. Lindbergh’s Sarah Reiter won the 1,600.

KingCo 3A meet

After the first day of the KingCo 3A meet Wednesday, the Liberty boys track team is currently leading with 48 points. Bellevue is in second with 44 points. The Patriots finished the dual meet season undefeated.

Devin Bennett and Eric Bice took first and second in the 800 meter. Bice won the 1,600. Troy Solly won the 300-meter hurdles and finished second in the 110. Ian Vensel took fifth in the 110 and second in the 300.

Peter Stacy won the javelin with a throw of 186-3. That mark broke the Liberty High School record. Stacy also took second in shot put.

Joshua Gordon and Bennett took first and second in the long jump.

The Liberty girls team is fourth with 23 points.

Elizabeth Ryker finished third in the 200 and second in the 400. Megan Chucka finished third in the 800 and 1,600. Emily Pestl-Dimmitt placed third in the 300 hurdles.
