Seahawks to enforce fan code of conduct at home games

Undercover officers will be wearing opposing team jerseys this season at the CLink.

The Seahawks remind all fans attending home games at CenturyLink Field that undercover law enforcement officers will be outfitted in opposing team jerseys. These undercover police officers assist security and game day staff to quickly detect fans exhibiting unruly and inconsiderate behavior.

These behaviors include the following:

• Disruptive or illegal in nature;

• Intoxication or other signs of alcohol or substance impairment that results in irresponsible behavior;

• Foul or abusive language or obscene gestures;

• Interference with the progress of the game (including throwing objects onto the field);

• Failing to follow instructions of stadium personnel;

• Verbal or physical harassment of opposing team fans;

• Verbal or physical harassment of stadium guests and staff members; and

• Smoking or tobacco use on CenturyLink Field property.

Guests who do not abide by these rules and the principles of the Fan Code of Conduct will not be allowed to attend Seahawks home games. Unruly or inconsiderate behavior and fighting will not be tolerated and will result in ejection from the stadium and/or permanent revocation of ticket privileges.

Fans can report any inappropriate activity that is disrupting their enjoyment of the game via text-message at HAWK12 (429512).

CenturyLink Field, in conjunction with Yellow Cab, has developed the Safe Ride Home Program. Guests who feel they cannot safely drive home due to the effects of alcohol should visit the nearest GuestLink assistance booth, which are located throughout the stadium, where they will be escorted to the closest Yellow Cab pick-up area.

Fans who have been asked to leave the stadium for violations of the Seahawks Fan Code of Conduct will be required to complete a four hour online educational course focused on fan behavior before they are allowed to return to the stadium. Fans will be responsible for the $75 cost of the course. The team will inform the fan once they have been cleared to attend events at the stadium. If a fan returns to CenturyLink Field without receiving authorization a criminal complaint will be issued against the fan as a “defiant trespasser” with the Seattle Police Department.

Seahawks season ticket holders are responsible for the behavior of persons using their seats. If those persons are ejected, the Seahawks may take appropriate action against the season ticket holder, up to and including season ticket revocation.
