Evergreen slipped past Hazen 77-69 Dec. 9.

Hazen (1-3 overall, 1-1 Seamount) outscored the Wolverines (2-2, 1-0) in the first and the fourth quarters, but came up short.

Caleb Frary scored 29 to lead all scorers in the game. The senior forward is averaging 21 points per game for Hazen this season. R.J. Magar scored 13 points and Brandt Graybeal scored 12.

Renton ran past Tyee 77-30 Dec. 10 in the Indians’ first league game of the season.

Renton (2-1, 1-0) went up 22-6 after the first quarter and never slowed down. Tyee (0-3, 0-2) was held to single-digit scores in each quarter.

Thomas Merritt scored 14 to lead Renton. Nathan Guy and Joseph Holifield each scored 13.

Jacob Brown scored 19 of Tyee’s 30 points.

Lindbergh beat Highline 74-56 Dec. 10 for the Eagles’ first league win of the young season.

The Eagles (1-3, 1-1) led 19-8 after the first quarter and held on. Demarr Ferguson and Dallas Searles led Lindbergh with 15 points each. Willie Creear scored 13 and Derrick Roseboro scored 12.

Donald Cassell led Highline (1-1, 1-1) with 14 points.

Mount Si got off to a fast start and beat Liberty 68-46 Dec. 9.

Liberty (2-2, 0-1 KingCo) trailed 24-7 after the first quarter. Connor Sjolander led Liberty with 13 points. Jeff Ryberg scored eight and Chandler Jenkins scored seven.
