Lindbergh’s Jimmy Keum had a huge second half and brought the Eagles back for a 67-59 win against Highline Wednesday.
Lindbergh (8-7 overall, 5-4 Seamount) trailed 35-13 at the half, but Keum scored 31 of his 35 points in the second half. Casey Huppe and Tyrell Shavers each scored nine for Lindbergh.
Renton 64, Tyee 38
Renton controlled the pace the entire way and beat Tyee 64-38 Wednesday.
The Indians (6-9, 4-5) led by 14 at the half and outscored the Totems by at least four points every quarter. Jonathan Patterson led Renton with 16 points. Zack Lee scored 10.
Girls
Renton 60, Tyee 44
The Renton girls basketball team got off to a quick start and never looked back against Tyee, winning 60-44 Wednesday.
The Indians (10-4, 9-0) are now in first place by three games over Kennedy Catholic. They started the game on a 24-6 run and went on another big run in the third, outscoring Tyee 18-4. With the game in hand, the Totems closed the gap slightly with a 21-8 advantage in the fourth.
Jordan Armstrong led Renton with 18 points. Shanease Kenner scored 11 and Taylor Farris scored 10.
Highline 41, Lindbergh 32
Lindbergh’s offense hit a sticking point in the second half and Highline won 41-32 Wednesday night.
The Eagles (6-6, 5-4) led 21-15 at the half, but could only score two points in the third quarter. Christina Wiley led Lindbergh with 13 points. Emily Graver added seven.
Liberty 59, Mercer Island 50
Liberty held off a late push to beat Mercer Island 59-50 Wednesday night.
The Patriots (12-3, 8-1 KingCo 3A/2A) are tied with Juanita for first place in the KingCo 3A/2A, but beat the Rebels head-to-head earlier this season. Liberty led 29-14 at the half.
Delane Agnew scored 14 points to lead the team. Sierra Carlson added 12. Ten players scored for the Patriots.
