After dropping a double overtime thriller to the Sumner Spartans this past weekend, the Renton High School girls basketball team hopes to keep their season alive tonight at Foss High School when they take on Kingston in the opening round of the district tournament.
The Indians are a league-leading 17-3 heading into the game, but none of that will matter if they fail to handle the Buccaneers tonight.
The winner of tonight’s game will take on second-seeded Port Angeles on Thursday.
The 11th-seeded Lindbergh Eagles also play tonight, taking the floor against Bremerton in a loser-out match of their own.
Lindbergh earned their spot after beating Foster this past weekend. A win will earn a match-up against top-seeded White River.
The games begin at 6 p.m. with Renton-Kingston scheduled for 7:45 p.m. Both games are at Foss High School in Tacoma.
