Lindbergh senior Mohamud Abdi finished with the top overall time at the season-opening Seamount Class Meet at Evergreen Sept. 6.

Abdi finished the two-mile course in 10 minutes, 26 seconds – 15 seconds faster than second place. Other winners on the boys side were Lindbergh’s Omelyan Strembitskyy (10:57) for the juniors, Hazen’s Awsten Necita (11:47) for sophomores and Hazen’s Graham Manson (11:59) for freshmen.

Winners on the girls side were Lindbergh’s Ariel Hodges (14:24) for seniors, Highline’s Thais Pedro (13:48) for juniors, Hazen’s Kristin Ericksen (14:58) for sophomores and Tyee’s Alexis Sata (14:24) for freshmen.

Also finishing in the top three for boys were Hazen’s Daniel Karpman (3rd, seniors), Lindbergh’s Ismael Purganan (2nd, juniors), Lindbergh’s Giao Ly (3rd, juniors), Renton’s Vu Nguyen (3rd, sophomores), Renton’s Kameron Jones (2nd, freshmen) and Hazen’s Logan Dickman (3rd, freshmen).

Also finishing in the top three for girls were Lindbergh’s Strassney Obregon (2nd, seniors), Renton’s Alison Wong (3rd, seniors), Lindbergh’s Ashley Pigott (2nd, juniors), Renton’s Quynh Nguyen (3rd, juniors), Lindbergh’s Cindy Huynh (2nd, sophomores), Renton’s Ashley Ponce (3rd, sophomores) and Lindbergh’s Christine Villanueva (2nd, freshmen).
