The Lindbergh boys basketball team beat Tyee 77-37 thanks to a big second half Friday night. The Eagles (6-1 overall, 4-1 Seamount) led 23-14 at the half, then scored 54 points in the second half to push their lead out to 40.

Jimmy Keum scored 33 points to lead all scorers. Casey Huppe added seven points.

Renton

Renton couldn’t find its offensive footing and fell to Kennedy Catholic 64-40 Friday night.

The Indians’ (2-3, 2-2) 40 points were season-low and it is just the second time they’ve scored less than 57 points this season.

Lavelle Smith led Renton with 10 points. Justin Pienh scored nine.

Lindbergh girls

Tyee’s Arinesha Smith scored 32 points, but it wasn’t enough as Lindbergh beat the Totems 53-46 Friday night.

The Eagles (4-2, 3-1) led by three heading into the fourth quarter, then held on for the win.

Emily Graver led Lindbergh with 22 points. Christina Wiley added nine.

Hazen girls

The Hazen girls basketball team topped Highline 56-43 Friday night.

The Highlanders (3-2, 2-2) got 21 points from Airashay Rogers. Cecillee Fernandez scored 14 and Tyra Markey added 11.
