Lindbergh football returned to winning form this weekend, rolling over Evergreen 52-6 for their third win of the season.

Quarterback Sam Nehren reportedly threw four touchdown passes and Johsiah Serquina ran for two additional touchdowns in the win.

Nehrens opened the scoring in the first with a 36-yard touchdown pass to     James Duncan for a 7-0 lead. Lindbergh followed with an 11-yard run to paydirt by Axel Vazquez and the Eagles finished the opening quarter up 13-0.

In the second, Nehren threw his second TD pass, this one a 12-yarder to Anthony Walker. Next, Serquina got his first of the evening on a 3-yard run. Then, before the half was out, Nehrens tossed a 13-yard TD pass to Montrae Gooden to give the Eagles a 33-0 lead at halftime.

Lindbergh kept it up in the third with Serquina getting his second, a 2-yard touchdown run and then Nehren and Duncan connected on a 21-yard pass to give the Eagles a 45-0 lead.

IN the final frame, the defense asserted itself, as Justin Tift picked off a pass and ran it back 26 yards for a touchdown and a 52-0 lead.

The Wolverines would push through a rushing TD of their own in the fourth, but it was too little too late to overcome the Eagles.

Lindbergh is now 3-2 overall on the season and 2-2 in the South Puget Sound League. They host Foster at 7 p.n. Thursday at Renton Memorial Stadium.
