Lindbergh baseball, softball win big over Hazen | Roundup

The Lindbergh baseball team beat up on Hazen Wednesday, winning 24-6. The Eagles (2-0) have outscored opponents 41-7 on the young season. Hazen (1-1) tailed 6-5 through three innings before Lindbergh opened the game with a five-run fourth and 12-run seventh.

Cooper Stevens went 3-3 with four runs and three RBI for Lindbergh. Tyler Gould went 2-3 with two runs and two RBI. Cam Callen went 3-5 with two RBI and a run.

Matt Stuart pitched three innings and earned the win for Lindbergh. Stevens pitched four innings, allowed two hits and struck out four.

Hazen’s Tyler Wicks, Jared Howell and Kyle Arinobu each had an RBI. Zac Kolterman took the loss.

 

Highline 24, Renton 4

Highline topped Renton 24-4 in a five-inning game Wednesday.

The Indians (0-3) scored once in the third inning and three runs in the fifth. Donovan Saario went 3-3 with an RBI and steal for Renton. Kevin Penaloza took the loss on the mound.

The Lindbergh softball team beat Hazen 13-4 Wednesday.
