ROUNDUP, FOOTBALL: Patriots roll over Totems

Liberty piled up 360 yards rushing on the way to a 55-21 rout of Sammamish on Sept. 26.

The Patriots jumped all over the Totems early and scored 41 unanswered points in the first half. Liberty improved to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the KingCo.

Chandler Jenkins led the way for Liberty with nine carries for 103 yards and three touchdowns. Greg Ericksen rushed nine times for 73 yards and two touchdowns. Joseph Yea rushed seven times for 85 yards and two touchdowns.

Quarterback Trey Wheeler rushed four times for 44 yards and one touchdown. He completed six of nine passes for 123 yards. Richard Crespo caught all of Wheeler’s completions except one and finished with five receptions for 106 yards.

The Liberty defense intercepted one pass, and added a sack and eight tackles for loss.

Liberty plays Juanita (3-1 overall, 1-0 KingCo) next on Oct. 3.
