Liberty, Hazen open season with tie
The Hazen and Liberty boys soccer teams opened the season with a 2-2 through snowy weather Tuesday night.
Liberty took a 1-0 lead 26 minutes into the game when Conner Noblat scored on an assist by Lucas Payseno. Hazen tied the game three minutes later with a goal by Jordan Lewison on an assist by Sam Bunnell.
Liberty’s Jake Ericksen scored with an assist by Josh Johnson at the 57th minute. Lewison and Bunnell paired up again in the second half for another goal and assist.
Hazen coach Ken Matthews is happy with the team’s early progress.
