Liberty finishes second in KingCo tourney, on to districts; Hazen’s season ends against Bonney Lake | 3A girls playoff basketball

The Hazen girls basketball team fell to Bonney Lake 43-31 Thursday night in a loser-out, sub-district playoff game. The Highlanders (9-11) led 13-12 after the first quarter, but fell behind in the second and could never regain the lead.

The Hazen girls basketball team fell to Bonney Lake 43-31 Thursday night in a loser-out, sub-district playoff game.

The Highlanders (9-11) led 13-12 after the first quarter, but fell behind in the second and could never regain the lead.

Airashay Rogers led Hazen with eight points.

Liberty

Liberty lost to Bellevue 54-36 in the KingCo 3A championship game Thursday night.

The Patriots (16-7) will take the second seed to the SeaKing district tournament and play the winner of Nathan Hale/Seattle Prep Feb. 14 at 3 p.m. at Ingraham High School.
