Hazen, who finished second to Kennedy last season in the now-defunct Seamount League has opted up to the 4A North Puget Sound League this season.

The Highlanders won all but six games in the match. First singles player Dylan Kittay had some difficulty in his first, but settled in to win his match 6-3, 6-0. Second singles player Sohil Shah, meanwhile, did not drop a game, winning 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles play, the first doubles team of Marcus Lee and James Chen dispatched their opponents 6-0, 6-0, as did the third doubles team of Logan Ricord and Tyler Holm. Only the second doubles team of William Eng and Kenny Nguyen ran into some rough patches before ultimately winning 6-2, 6-1.

Hazen is now 1-0 in the league and overall. They are scheduled to play at Tahmoa on Friday.
