Dulin Hayden ran for five touchdowns on Friday as the Liberty Patriots beat the West Seattle Wildcats 63-27 to remain undefeated on the season.
West Seattle got on the board first with a 35-yard field goal, but Liberty responded with a pair of rushing touchdowns.
Hayden got his first of the day on a 3-yard run, followed by a 34-yard touchdown run by Austin Regis.
West Seattle then ran the kick back for an 84-yard touchdown return, but the Patriots still led 14-10 as the first quarter came to an end.
In the second, Hayden picked up his second and third touchdowns, a 3-yarder and a 14-yarder to give Liberty a 28-10 lead. But the Wildcats kept battling, connecting on a 22-yard touchdown pass to cut the lead to 28-16 as the teams headed to the locker rooms at halftime.
Liberty came out ready for the third quarter, picking up three rushing touchdowns in a row. Cameron Spaeth got things started with his first touchdown of the day, a 21-yard run to paydirt. Then, Hayden picked up two more touchdowns of his own, on a 29-yard run and an 8-yard run to give the Patriots a 49-16 lead.
West Seattle was able to pick up another touchdown on a 59-yard pass-and-run, but Spaeth answered with his second touchdown run of the day, this one for 31 yards and a 56-22 lead as the third quarter ended.
In the fourth, Liberty got an insurance touchdown from Caleb Carr, who took the ball 5 yards for a touchdown. West Seattle scored again on a 2-yard touchdown pass, but it was too little too late as the game ended with the Patriots well ahead, 63-28.
With the win, the league-leading Patriots are now 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the KingCo. They host Ballard Friday at Liberty High School.
