Girls basketball: Marcissa McMillan’s 36 points leads to Lindbergh win

Lindbergh 70, Evergreen 28

Lindbergh’s Marcissa McMillan put on another show Wednesday night in a 70-28 win against Evergreen.

McMillan scored 36 points for the Eagles (6-4 overall, 5-2 Seamount). The senior also grabbed 21 rebounds and blocked five shots.

Jordan Halingstad scored 12 points for the Eagles. Brandi Linsday scored seven points, grabbed eight rebounds and collected three steals.

Foster 58, Renton 35

Renton got off to a slow start and never recovered in a 58-35 loss to Foster Wednesday.

The Indians (3-7, 3-4) fell behind 20-3 after the first quarter. Kelsey Sparks led the team with 10 points. Taylor Williams added eight and Addyson Stowers scored six.

Juanita 55, Liberty 49

Liberty lost its first KingCo game of the season to Juanita 55-49 Wednesday.

The Patriots (9-2, 3-1) scored just 10 points to Juanita’s 19 in the second quarter. Katie Growden led Liberty with 11 points. Breanne Faehnrich scored nine points.

The Patriots are still tied with Bellevue and Mercer Island for first in the KingCo. Liberty and Mercer Island square off tonight at Mercer Island.
