The Seattle Summer Pro-Am Basketball League will bring NBA talent back to Seattle this summer.
The six-team league consists of former NBA, international and collegiate players, many with local ties. Current NBA players Jamal Crawford, Nate Robinson, Terrence Williams, Spencer Hawes and Rodney Stuckey will be regularly competing in games.
International players Will Conroy (University of Washingotn alumni) Tre Simmons (University of Washingotn alumni, born in Seattle) and Marcellus Kemp (born in Seattle) will also play.
Renton alumnus playing include Vershan Cottrell (Class of 2005), Marc Williams (2005) and Rashaad Powell (1999).
Games will be played at Rainier Vista Boy’s and Girl’s Club at 4520 Martin Luther King Junior Way S. in Seattle. Game dates are June 26, July 2, 3, 9, 23, 24, 30, 31, August 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28. Game times are noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. each day.
