Female Athlete of the Week: Aimee Brester

Brester earned the hghest hitting percentage on the team over two games and averaged 8.2 assists per set.

The Renton Reporter’s male athlete of the week for Oct. 5 is senior Aimee Brester of Liberty High School, volleyball.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Sports Medicine.

Q: Name your Mount Rushmore (Top 4) of Movies?

A: “Grown Ups”, “The Miracle Season”, “10 Things I Hate about you”, “Talladega Nights”

Q: Who is the person in your life that has helped you succeed the most?

A: My mom Sara.

Q: You’re on a long road trip, you stop at a gas station. You get one drink and one snack. What are you choosing?

A: Triple X Vitamin Water and pretzels.

Q: Describe your pre-game ritual

A: Blasting music in the locker room before games and being with teammates. Don’t want to be alone. All about the team.

A: Dirt on my Boots by Jon Pardy.

From the sidelines: Aimee has stepped up both on and off the court as a captain focusing on mental toughness. She has led her team through the toughest competition in our league this week and came out victorious. Aimee has also stepped up as an attacker earning a hitting percentage of 0.471 over the two games and averaged 8.2 assists per set. She has yet to miss a serve this season, and has a 14.7 ace percentage thus far.
