Hazen beat Aberdeen 4-1 Saturday to pick up momentum heading into the league season.
The Highlanders (1-0-1) face Kennedy Catholic Tuesday night in the Seamount opener for both teams.
Sophomore Brianne Sherin scored twice in the game, giving her three goals on the young season. Sophomores Melissa Carney and Gabby Brower assisted on the goals.
Carney added her own goal, 14 minutes after Sherin’s second goal, assisted by sophomore Chelsea Delgado.
Aberdeen’s Jill Hardy responded to cut into Hazen’s lead.
Hazen senior captain Marina Vaughn scored just before halftime on an assist by Sherin.
