Boys basketball: Hazen and Lindbergh lose close games

Kennedy 69, Hazen 65

Hazen (2-9 overall, 2-5 Seamount) topped the Lancers 76-69 in the opening league games for both teams on Dec. 5.

This time Kennedy used a big second quarter to build a lead. The Lancers outscored Hazen 22-14 in that quarter. Hazen scored 19 to Kennedy’s 14 in the third, but it wasn’t enough.

Caleb Frary scored 24 to lead Hazen. Brandt Graybeal and Frankie Johnosn each scored 11.

Kennedy’s Deshea Bell led all scorers with 25 points.

Mount Rainier 62, Lindbergh 57

Lindbergh is now tied with Highline for seventh place in the Seamount. The Eagles and the Pirates play tonight at Highline.
